Let’s start with this fun fact about the market in Basking Ridge: in 1995, the most expensive home in town sold for $1.25 Million as a resale on Butternut Lane in Crystal Ridge, near the Bernardsville border. It featured six bedrooms, four bathrooms and a three car garage on two acres. The least expensive house at the time was a two bedroom home that “needs work” on Lyons Road – it was priced at $169,000.
In the last 12 months, the least expensive single family home sold was a two bedroom ranch on Whitenack Road – it sold for $210,000. The most expensive home was sold for $1.8 Million – a six bedroom, six bath home on Mountain Road.
